P1 Complete

I know I haven’t updated this in a while! I have been quite busy with school until now. It’s finally summer time (I realize that last summer time was the last I updated last)! Boy there has been a lot that has happened since then. I have successfully completed my first year of Pharmacy school at the University of Washington! It was grueling and much more time consuming than imagined. There were so many more exams than I expected. We nearly had one every week. I knew pharmacy school would be tough. Every final exam week was  challenging, studying non-stop every day and night. But you know what? I persevered through each one and made it out alive. Definitely not to brag, but I’m just proud of myself for making it through. By no means am I Rho Chi, I’m just really happy to pass 🙂

I have been able to enjoy my time off with eating, being a tourist, relaxing, and finally getting some sleep. Here are a collection of pictures I’ve taken on my time off. Enjoy!

As summer continues, I feel like I should really be investing in my time doing something valuable. I know I will be really busy very soon and should just seize the day. I just currently became unemployed due to some logistics.. My small pharmacy could not afford to keep me on staff now that my status has changed from assistant to intern. No biggy, it’s time that I move on to bigger and better things. I’ve been trying for the last few months applying to hospital internships, but my pharmacy class is just so competitive! I hope to snag a spot within the next month or so, or I will have to revert to looking into retail.. In the meantime..

I’ve been reading a lot more “fun” books that I don’t have much time for during the school year. If the weather ever perks up, I really want to go hiking and enjoying the green that Washington has to offer. I got my SLR last year and really want to utilize it this summer (if there’s any sun of course). I’m just tired of sitting around at home watching TV because I’m really starting to feel like a bum. Who knows maybe I will go back to playing the piano or guitar again. Something just a little more productive than just watching movies.

I don’t know it just got me thinking that time is really of the essence and I’m just kind of wasting it. Luckily I have friends around me that fill up my time and it’s nice just to be carefree with them. It’s just this in between time that is killing me right now..
